Who is DJM ???
DJ Moderator ;D :D :P
-
hes a moderator on the forum, why? KM

I think Cpt Young that you were a little taken aback by DJMs suggestion that a thread be calmed or closed, yes?
Please note that he didn't TELL you to close it- he could have done so himself.
If you feel that DJM, myself or any other moderator is heavy handed just use 'report to moderator' button at the bottom right of your screen. In the case of a complaint against a moderator it will be referred to an administrator instead.
For the record, I agree 100% with DJM.

lol. So what made you choose the name [RWP]DJM
The RWP comes from making my own music mixes and movies. Stands for Real World Productions. You can see my movies here:
www.youtube.mpssclan.co.uk
The DJM stands for DJ Morpheus (also from my mixes and movies), I am a fan of the Matrix Trilogy ;D
The full [RWP]DJM was my old clan name ;)
I've been using both these names since 2002, but [RWP]DJM since October last year :D

At the moment, I can't. I am monitoring my internet connection after some serious issues recently. Basic Surfing can be tough enough, so anything above that is worse ::)

Hey DJM,

Usually it's a Punkbuster-based problem, although the 1.25 patch for 2142 has caused headaches for many ::)
Have you got PnkBstrA installed? Also, on Vista, you need to allow Admin rights on the shortcut to stop connection drops because of Punkbuster ;)
Of course, the Home Hub is a complete pain. It's a self-correcting router and when it corrects any discrepancy on your connection, it can kill the connection completely ::)

What is PnkBstrA ?

Seconded, and do I need it?
-
Absolutely, you will need it ;)
It is a (and I hate these kind of things), permanently-running service that (apparently) Evenbalance need. It is meant to prevent scripts etc. running on your machine and by-passing Punkbuster.
If you bring-up Task Manager, you will see the service running if it's installed ;)
Also, PBSetup (http://ssl.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=pbsetup.php) works wonders for updating Punkbuster before you go online. This can be much more effective, as we all know PB can refuse updates if your connection is being 'awkward'.
PBSetup should also auto-install the PnkBstrA files ;)
