I have Windows XP (SP3) and Mr. Gates has given me a converter. ;D Find your WAV file that you want to convert, right click on it and then go to "convert audio file" and there it is. No extra charge and no more uneccessary software required. I don't think you need worry about any virus or other alien stuff with software which has possibly been on your computer since you got it. ::) I should point out that it will also convert WMA files too.

This converts all kinds of files :D, the best convert site in my opinion :).

I went to Google and typed "wav2mp3".
I got deluged with results!
tip: if you want to convert formats, always try typing in the from and to formats, with the number 2 between them. Almost guaranteed to bring lots of results.
e.g. avi2mpg, mps2wav, and do on.

Sometimes things like this aren't complicated. Thinking in a simple often sorts the problem without over complicating the situation - especially with things like computers ;D
