Is there any way in either free roam and misson mode to speed up time?

It would be nice to skip really fast to the next checkpoint but no there isn't as far as I know

thats a bit a shame, because the features says "sail from dawn to dusk'' well, it can but you aren't sailing so long to get from new york to rotterdam. in 30 minuted i am done, but sitting a whole day behind my computer watching the change of day is bad for me ;)
