Title: Some real "Latitude" pictures - Mooring at Fawley
Post by: TerryRussell on December 26, 2008, 21:48:19
I thought these might be interesting. Of course, it isn't really Latitude, but it's close!

Is the Latitude a model copy of the Knock Knevis?

No.

It's a generic model, similar to many others.

I truly love the Solent Tugs. Thrax is monster when you get up close to her, would make an amazing ASD-tug in Ship Simulator 2010...!

As I live just along the coast in Selsey, I know exactly what you mean!

Is the Latitude a model copy of the Knock Knevis?

The knock Knevis isn't a tanker, it is a fso (Floating Storage and Ofloading).
So it doesn't transport crude oil anymore.

But, it was the Jahre Viking, wich was the biggest ship in the world.

And there is nothing similar between Lattitude and Knock Knevis.

Great pictures Terry!

Well, the ship at the right side at the 4th picture, the one with the 2 funnels, is the 'Anne Johanne'  :P

If im right, the 'Knock Nevis' is currently postioned as a FSO off the coast of Quatar in the Arabian Gulf.
