Greetings,
We had a discusion about the Javelin vessel, about the dynamics.More about the steering system.
We had the idea that it turns to fast, which we almost all agree about.
Now the news is,infact it still turns to slow,i have spoken to one of the captains of this company, who also has the shipsim game.So he found out that it was to slow.
This is how it normal is,when you even turn a 5°,the vessel goes very hard, and keeps turning evn when the rudder has been midships again. So this means to stop the turning, you have to steer a bit contra again.
So i think this info is good for us all,now we know a bit more to about this vessel.
I was onboard on a ship from this company this morning.
Regards to all
Marc

Hello Marc,
Thank you for that background-information.
The importance with simulation is, to get as close to the real "thing" as possible.
This information / report shows us, how important these details are / can be.
I'm happy to hear about those items, seeing the impact on our simulator game.
vr. gr. / kind regards, Erik
