Hi Simon, and welcome to the forum!

There is currently no means to put any ships in the game, as a 3rd party addon maker. Only VSTEP can do that. And tools to make environments are not available at this point.

VSTEP does however encourage talented modelers to make ships. But the tools needed to do a good job often are very expensive. The best tool for the job is 3D Studio Max.

But there are a few free programs that could produce a good result. Gmax and Truespace are such programs.

To make a possible addon vessel suited for the game, certain guidelines have to be followed, I included them in this post.

But this is all a very difficult and time consuming process, there is no easy way to do it. It takes a lot of time and dedication.

Hope this answers your question.

Regards,
Fred

That means that you could very easily consult the companies to get part of their fleets in Ship Sim!

Apart from the fact that those then have to be made, converted, inserted, tested, fixed, tested some more, and released, IF vstep wants them to be in the game, it's indeed very easy that way.  ;D

It's not that complicated, surely. What would it take? 10  minutes per vessel?

Couldn't we just make a box and though a motor on the back and call it a boat!

You might be forgiven for believing that I don't need the hint, but thanks, anyway.

As I am currently sat in the NWA business lounge at Detroit airport, waiting for my plane, I'm just messing with Austin.

I usually fly at least 4-6 times a year. Whether it is a Family Vacation, or Funeral/Wedding, or tag along with my mom on business.
