Title: Which version do I have?

Hi.

I just need a little help.  I just purchased Ship Sim in Canada.  However it merely says Ship Simulator.  It does not indicate if it is 2006 or 2008.  Any ideas?

Well, the 2006 version main menu says:

Start Game
Edit Scene
Settings
Credits
Exit

While the 2008 version you can see the sea in the background, music comes on and the menu says:

Play
Options
Credits
Quit


Think that's all. Might be in the wrong order though.

Er, what ships does it have in it?

If it's got a P&O ferry in it (the Pride of Rotterdam), San Francisco, the Solent etc, then it's 2008.

If not, it's 2006.

Bummer.  I will have to get 2008.  I am from Southampton and I wanna play with the Red Funnel ferries ;)

yea urs is SS06 fo sho i live in canada too and i was shopping in EB games and the cover of ship simulator caught my eyes by the titanic ;D then i bought the game and it said "Ship Simulator" on it oh btw ship simulator 2008 is not even released in canada yet.. hopefully september(dosent seem matter to me cuz i got it off the internet already  ;D ;D)

You should be able to buy the download version on www.shipsim.com

or take a look at the front of the cd box, SS2006 shows the port of rotterdam with the titanic and a patrol boat, SS2008 shows th open sea with an oil rig, a pilot boat and a oil tanker :)
