I notice that in the Harbor of Rotterdam (mission: Titanic Voyage to New York) the channel markers are reversed from the International Maritime "Rules of the Road". They should be reversed. Note: Red buoy is to the right returning from sea.
Can these be changed in the Mission Editor?

Hello moyeraj,
Welcome !
Returning from sea, red conical is to the right in Region B, and green conical in Region A. Rotterdam is in the A Region. IALA buoyage (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lateral_mark)

Luc

Thanks for the prompt reply. Thanks for the education, I had assumed that the rule was International.

Most of the world follows IALA A.
Pretty much only the Americas, Japan, Filipines and South Korea choose to be different (IALA B).
http://www.nauticalissues.com/en/iala.html
gives more details.
However, the shape of the port and starboard buoys is the same in both regions (cans/squares to port, cones/triangles to starboard).
Cardinal signage is the same in both regions, I think.

Hi Marc.
I'm away from home again, so I couldn't check.
I didn't want to say "They're the same" and then have someone come along and tell me that in Switzerland and Swaziland it's different! ;D
The buoyage I knew. But I couldn't remember for cardinals. It's a sign of old age... :'(
