In the USA, Rememberance Day is called "Veterans Day".

As in "War Veterans".

yes, bu here in canada its Remebrance day. this is an especially sad day for me. My great great grandpa died in the Korean War, and my grandpa on my moms side of the family, was in WW2 AND the Korean War. He survived both, but unfortunatley died in 2004. He was 84 years old.

Isn't that wall the Vietnam war memorial, instead of WWII..

I think you confused this memorial (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vietnam_Veterans_Memorial), with this one (http://www.wwiimemorial.com/).

Silly me I did. I have pics of the WWII memorial though. It was great. They let you put your feet in the water. IT WAS SO HOT THAT WEEK!

It doesnt matter what its called, veterans day or remembrance day, all that matters is that we respect each and every person who fought for their country in a time of horrible war.

Remembrance day is a very sad day.  Many fellow Canadians died in the First World War in battles, including the bloodest one of all, Vimy Ridge.  :'(

But

what is life without death of close friends or family?

what is life without sadness or sorrow?

what is life without removal of your valuable possesions?

Pretty boring period of time. Thats what.

No-one would want a life were nothing bad happened, would they? They would, acctually, but they would get bored very quickly.

Who agrees?

I can understand if you don't

I agree.

THANK YOU FOR ALL THOSE WHO FOUGHT FOR THEIR CONTRY!
