Hi guys!
I think everyone that plays SS on multiplayer has had some experiences with bugs ;) And for those of you guys who have some great screenshots showing those funny bugs when it happened, I created this topic. Feel free to post your pictures you like. See my post below for an example ;D
There are some basic guidelines:
- They must be pictures of Shipsim (2006 or 2008)
- Feel free to post multiple pictures ;)
- Please give a small description of what happened for the other forum members 8)
Of course the forum rules do count here too.
If there are many enthusiastic replies, I may make it a competition ;) Enjoy your posting! ;D
Regards,
Thruster

Here's the first one:

Because of some mysterious reason this VLCC Latitude suddenly turned upside down. This one is taken in Marseille, not very far from the North harbour entrance. ;D

Its not a bug, its called an anchor. Anyway, here's my first picture of the north star. (the flying mad sailor, not the actual star)
-
:D A bouy in San Fransisco Bay intersecting my boat. According to a moderator they all do this and were designed to do this. ;D
-
;D This is the Arie Visser anchored in Marseille. HA HA! LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THAT ANCHOR CHAIN!!! :o
-
This was posted elsewhere, but it's worth another look!
-
:P This is the Solent coast of England, and has been reported to VSTEP already. They'll probably fix it in 2009.
-
Strangeley, on my PC, it is nowhere near as flooded as that. Some of it depends on your graphics card, I believe.
-
As you head north out of Isle of Wight, cross to the mainland England, look at the east shore as you travel up harbour. This shoreline hovers above the seawall a few meters, and extends a few kilometers. Photo taken looking south.

-Ehr... here's a guy called Allen D warping around not knowing if he'd open the ports on his router this wouldn't happen... and him saying "i see everyone moving normally..." we've all seen it i guess... one second he's here.. then on the bank.. then in the open sea.. within 3 seconds.. next second yer sinking due to the lag kicking it into your vessel.. yay...
-Loading up a mission but it wouldn't load properly... so only the instruments loaded, not the boat...
-As seen on multiplayer servers to which we are not able to use the tugs anymore...(connect it to which ship you sayd>?)
-from another angle.. and sliding/grinding over/through eachother..
-Got turned upsidedown whilst trying to latch onto the boys, but something emberassing (for them) happend... hehe ;D
Woof ~ Woof

PoR on 2 Vermaases in the background :D

-Loading up a mission but it wouldn't load properly... so only the instruments loaded, not the boat...
When this happened to me, I found that the firewall was turned on, but I had not included ShipSim in the list of "allowed" programs. Including it solved the problem. ;D
Why does this happen? I think the ship body comes from the server, but the controls are generated locally on your C:\drive. ???

after the third time loading it was ok again ;)
