Title: The Real RPA 11 ( New Pic ) Police boat P4
Post by: Capt. Jim on September 25, 2008, 01:20:21: Just for inspection the RPA 11 comes every day in the Beatrixhaven where i work. Today i make some pichurs of it specialy for you guys on the forum. They were helping to catch a little seal that was in or port today ;) But when they try to get closer with a rubberboat the seal was going in the water and he was gone ^^

RPA 11. Pichurs are made by my phone Nokia N73 so they are not so good ;D But closer then this can not. I see the P6 or other police boat sometimes i try to make a photo of that boat to.

Years ago i took a picture of a dolphine on the river scheldt,it stayed there for over 18 months,near the buoy MG17(middelgat17).
He protected it,if i can still find that picture i put it on.

These are used around Europoort and help the Pride of Hull/Rotterdam leave the Rotterdam terminal.

Wow. If those were hooked up to the ships pumps, They couls stop their ship from sinking, and put out a fire at the same time! (Now thats cool)

I found this Dutch story on the Port of Rotterdam website:

It's a Dutch story about the low emission engines that is required for new ships and which are fitted in the Surveyor 1 and 2. There is one sentence that can confirm they are hydrografic survey vessels. I'll translate it from the article:

"Shipyard Made and shipyard Grave are building 2 hydrografic survey vessels and one oil spill response vessel the 'OSR 31'. The 'Surveyor 1 and 2' can gather information from a large area at once."

Rest of the story is about low sulpher fuel and low emission engines.

I don't know how many Rotterdam Police boats there are, but they're all pretty much identical, as Austin said...

Question for VSTEP: Why the P6...why not P4 or 5 :P
