Hi everyone!
Nathan was sifting through the SS picture's, and came accross picture's of this "mystery vessel" on the SS site:
These picture's were found in the "Ships" section, click on the Latitude, scroll to the right, and there is the mystery ship, so, why is that ship there? and was it going to be in SS?
Jack.

maybe it is another skin for the ship but i have never seen it beofre

Neither have I and it doesn't look like latitude
-
Very strange!!
Elbe is in the Shipyard

This ship appears in another VSTEP Simulation:

That's this cleared up then.

In another post you mentioned a ship on fire that you had seen... This might be the one??
-
The level of detail seems to be lower than usual for SS08, more like the ships in the Rotterdam Harbour demo. Perhaps it’s from SS Professional.
-
Is there a known way to deliberately play as that? It looks cool!
Anything from VSTEP's other games is a welcome addition to Ship Sim, if you ask me ;D
It looks like a tanker version of the Vermaas....
-
i think it was work in progress how the latitude should look like.

Any idea how I can view the ship like what is in the pics? Or, better yet, pilot it?

There's more about it on this VStep website:

The ships in the various incident training programs are generally not player ships, and don’t require the detail found in SS2008 ships. The polys are spent where they are needed for training purposes. I don’t think VSTEP intends to train rivet counters.

I have already answered what this ship is in my above post.

I know, but I just get excited with new ships to sail, whether intended or not.
The more, the merrier, ya know?

sometimes when you complete a mission, a new player ship is added.?? do you think ?maybe??

No, We all know it doesnt happen like that. But it would be cool. Well, No because then you would have to complete it and thats boring. It would also make MP stranger.

This is the Berge Stahl! Its also in tralers! Its made my Goax in NVDG!
-
Hm...I dont know if this means anything but notice in the last picture, The top of the sherpa. And if this S added to SS i hope it gets more detail.

That's most likely a bug or something, and not part of the ship.

Well head of to the NVDG and find the berge stahl. Your right though. It doesnt really look like it.
