Just installed it and it is the ugliest browser ever! I believe Chris Pirillo will be doing a review on it sometime today.

There are many bugs, including if you go BACK to a form it gets confused. If your using a Dual Boot machine with XP & Vista is flashes in Vista. The buttons like "Post" and "Preview" are half way in the form itself for most people. For two years of development this is all they can do? You get the "Sad Tab" if you go to youtube.

Waow. I'm trying it since one hour, this is really far away the best browser I've ever seen. Incredibly fast ... everything works perfectly fine, Flash plugins and so one are directly included ... This is really amazing.
I just hope Roboform will be adapted to Chrome, and I'll forget everything else !!
-
NOTE: Youtube and Iplayer will not work in Chrome if Internet explorer is open they will both report that javascript is turned off this has now been reported to google and has been put down as a medium importance issue.

Visualy it is still one of the worst browsers I have ever seen. Netscape was better then this.

this is a personnal advice I absolutely don't share :) That's probably one of the things I like the most : it's almost not visible. one frame list, one adress bar, that's all. You can't say it's ugly, it's invisble :-) and soooo incredibly fast !

I completely agree with that

Google is getting too big, that's the reason I left IE.. ;D

Ya I hear this was coming around but I think I'll stick with FireFox and Ice Weasel. ;D

On the one hand, you're right. Except that Chrome is open source, so the "google's getting too big" point isn't very pertinent here ...
Whatever google does, he does it better (imho) than everything that has been done before. And chrome seems to be a very good example of that !

about the problem with forms, it never occured to me.
the dual boot machine thing isn't possible, when you install a software on windows or XP, it has nothing to do with the boot loader.
and the "post" and "preview" buttons are exactly the same as the ones displayed in IE or FF.
I really don't know where A|A got those informations from, but for me, they are totally false !

Would you reccommend i upgrade from Internet Explorer to that? or stick to my current?
Jack.
My 900th Post!

J4ck, you can just try it. Installing chrome doesn't uninstall or disable anything else, you can just install chrome, try it, and leaving for now Internet Explorer as your default browser. It's really worth the try.

Firefox > Chrome
Chrome > IE
:) IMO

I have to take back a bit of my first response..I did a bit of reading up on the general evaluations of this beta version of Google Chrome, and most of it was mostly positive..Think I'll wait and see how it evolves.. :)

Although I have Firefox and Chrome installed, I'm going to stay with IE. It does all that I want with no problems whatsoever. Why would I want to change?
Of course if you have a PC that isn't set up correctly, then your experience may be very different. (Quick! Duck back in the trenches. Bullets heading this way).
