Title: RMS co.
Post by: llamalord on August 29, 2008, 04:38:43
I saw a truck in a parking lot today that had the companies initails on it.  "RMS" I not only thought this was kind of funny that the owner has no idea what RMS stands for, and also woundered if any one knew what this company does? ;D

Amongst thousands of other possible meaning of this acronym :

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RMS

by the way RMS are the initials of Richard Stallman (Richard Matthew Stallman) too.

RMS can mean  "roots mean square" when talking about the power of an amplificator (100 watts RMS for example),

and so on ...

Don't stay focused on a ship that sank one century ago, things have changed since then :-)

Even today there are still ships with R.M.S on them

Not all of them sank, you know  ::)

Ship are still used to transport mail from the UK to the US. With there being so much mail, there needs to be a lot of ways to transport it.
