Totally new to Ship Simulator - just purchased the game and addon this afternoon. Would like to try and get the most out of the game, so thought I would introduce myself on here. I promise to behave myself and search all stupid questions before I ask them.
The game seems great so far, although I've done little more than a relaxing cruise around New York harbour!

Welcome to the forum. Where in the 100-acre wood do you hide?
Finding stupid questions (and stupid answers) on the forum is easy, finding correct answers can be harder. However, there are many helpful people here who will do their best to answer your questions.
It is more important to state your question clearly, giving as much relevant information as possible, than to worry if it might be stupid.
If you have any questions about missions, or the Mission Editor, fell free to ask me via a PM.

Marty is the man to ask about those things!

One other thing you might enjoy is the Creators Forum. Some of the the genius mission creators release missions there that can be downloaded and played. Each mission carries a good description and lots of data that is not accessible from the in-game download system. The missions are QC checked, but not yet generally available.

Users get a chance to be involved in the development of these missions by providing feedback to the creators. The "fee" is your feedback.

welcome to the forum, i can almost assure you that these forums and the game are great. When i was new (not long after SS08 came out) everyone was so pleased to help me and you can have discussions with them like they are your closest friends. Have fun
