Hi guys, and the occasional girl,
I was woundering If you could help me out, I've been fiddling around with 3DSmax. So far, i've been making what i would describe as "floating scrap heaps" (yes they really are that bad!) However, i've come up with something that i think might be worthy of continuing with. Could you guys give me your opinions on how i can make this hull look more like a IBSV? Also, any 3DSmax hints would be great

I've stopped this project for the time being whilst i learn how to make a more conventional ship, which less odd shapes. I will pick the project up at a later date, so its not dead

To me it does look enough like IBSV, if only the bow was higher.

Is that boat of yours built from the plans of the pacific enterprise?
I'll make the bow into its proper shape (in other words take it by the scruff of the neck and drag it up a bit), then i'll post some more pictures for approval.
