I also agree with Saltydog now, ever since I mastered handling Red Eagle, it's been my favourite ship! :D ;D

I still can't pilot that ship......mine's kinda like a Red Pigeon :o :D

Red Pigeon! :D Hmm, it will be big news this:

"Red Funnel order new ship to be made red pigeon"

Ferry company Red Funnel have ordered a  new ferry that is to be called "Red Pigeon". The first captain of this ship will be [RWP]DJM.

She can turn on a dime..  :)
I hope they make a helm for the other direction, seems pretty essential for a ferry.. ;D

Dawg,
Unless I misunderstood your question, there is a stern helm position:

If you meant an external set for going the other way, I apologize.

Dawg,
If you want to steer with the external controls while going “backwards”—red funnel on port side, you can still do it rather easily by adapting the short discussion in the Mission Editor Tutorial:
The left pair of wheels is now the stern VSP; the right pair, the bow. The thrust indicators should point down—6 o’clock—to go ahead.
Steering is intuitive if you use the left wheel—turning the wheel left turns the ship to port, because the stern is pushed to starboard. The right wheel is like a bow thruster, but she turns in the opposite direction to the wheel.
You’ve probably figured all this out already, and I got a bad headache for nothing. :)
Regards,
Marty
