In the new mutiplayer what ship would you use?
By the way I dont want this topic full of where do you get it? Look in the downloads or in the announcements.
-
I'm a fan of the smaller boats in Multiplayer, Pilot boat/Speedboat etc. :)
Although, I still like RJ4 too ;D

Same with me. I love the pilot boat and arie visser.
-
I must say that the fairmount sherpa is my favorite, but do you get the ad on boats?
-
My favourite combination is the Vermaas with 2 or 3 small tugs.
Ive allready tried it but it is verry difficult.

i like the oil tanker and the titanic ;D
-
It has to be fast (>30kn) to be able to find the other players (I did choose always a wrong startpoint far away from anyone).

I agree I often use the arie visser and pionner.

you can get add-on boats if you get a SS2006 add-on licence key registered, then you can download the SS2008 add-on at your profile ;)
btw i love huge and big and state-of-the-art so i choose for the ocean star! ;D badly the add-on doesn't work on downloaded versions :'(

Hi
my favourite is the sherpa but I like also the vermaas and the PoR.
By the way is it possible to have all the ships available for the servers because sometimes the list of choice is quiet strange, vermaas without tugs....?
Why is there only few ships available in the servers?
-
titanic ;)

Sorry mr robville I mean in multiplayer.

I like the OS, POR but preffer the VERMAAS ;D
-
RJ4 Arie vissor/pioneer and agile solution
-
i like bigger vessels than smaller
-
AAH? The powerboat. ;) Or the cruise ship.
-
Guess I'm the only one to say the Red Eagle.. :D
and I also rather like the P6
-
I like the larger ferries, but when i want to be a rescue guy i take the Arie Visser, and when i want to be port control i just choose any ship and pull over at the side.
-
I also agree with Saltydog now, ever since I mastered handling Red Eagle, it's been my favourite ship! :D ;D

I still can't pilot that ship......mine's kinda like a Red Pigeon :o :D
-
Red Pigeon! :D Hmm, it will be big news this:
"Red Funnel order new ship to be made red pigeon"
Ferry company Red Funnel have ordered a new ferry that is to be called "Red Pigeon". The first captain of this ship will be [RWP]DJM.
:D it would be funny watching you go up the Solent! :D ;D
-
LOL :D
Maybe [RWP] could mean Red Wild Pigeon then eh :P :D
-
ROFL
Where do you get these ideas from?!! :D ;D
-
My daft old head, and years of practice at trying to make that head work properly ;D
You've got me going off-topic again :o ;)
-
;D
Hmm, it was you who started about the pigeon business :P ::) :D ;D ;D Hehe :D

I agree, If people try to ram you you can turn her pretty quick!
-
She can turn on a dime.. :)
I hope they make a helm for the other direction, seems pretty essential for a ferry.. ;D
-
Dawg,
Unless I misunderstood your question, there is a stern helm position:

If you meant an external set for going the other way, I apologize.
Regards,
Marty
-
Thanks for that Marty,.. :)
-
Mine would be all the big ships
-
Dawg,
If you want to steer with the external controls while going “backwardsâ€â€”red funnel on port side, you can still do it rather easily by adapting the short discussion in the Mission Editor Tutorial:
The left pair of wheels is now the stern VSP; the right pair, the bow. The thrust indicators should point down—6 o’clock—to go ahead.
Steering is intuitive if you use the left wheel—turning the wheel left turns the ship to port, because the stern is pushed to starboard. The right wheel is like a bow thruster, but she turns in the opposite direction to the wheel.
You’ve probably figured all this out already, and I got a bad headache for nothing. :)
Regards,
Marty

I'm getting the hang of it Marty..
