is there any way i can install the game without using crappy steam?

i got a installation problem, when i enter the license key at steam, steam tells me i'd already own the game and id would be in my library what's totally nonsense - so i cannot install the game. can somebody help me?

If you didn't buy the steam paradox version, yes, as other versions do not rely on Steam.

If you buy the steam version, I presume it won't be possible to install the game without Steam.

ok i think i have the "steam version" but how can i get the game going? like i described, when i'm entering the cd-code steam tells my i already have the game in my library but i have NOT. how can i solve this problem?

Hi Gents...I'm not a Paradox/STEAM rep, but nevertheless it's almost 100% sure that it has to do with the fact that the game will only go live on STEAM this afternoon/evening (CET). They're in Seattle so takes them some time to get this rolling as they're still asleep now.

See your bibliotheque if it is empty  try the key if it say you that another people got this game it is the same bug as me that i have with another game.

Thanks for that I am having the same problem. You'd think that Steam would now as a global enterprise be a 24/7 operation. When I looged on last night over 1.8 million people were playing on their network, can't they afford night staff yet on those kind of numbers? Support tickets can also take 3-4 days to be answered pretty bad for customer relations. Whilst Steam is without question technically the best digital distribution network it's the human side that seems to be letting it dowm

They should have a EU office. You'd think they'd have the budget for it! Anyway, activation can come anytime between 17:00h-23:59h CET. Let's hope it's earlier than later.
