I am at a bit of a loss
« on: October 01, 2013, 12:19:32 »

Hello to everyone on here

This question may have been asked before - but I can't seem to find a straight answer while trolling through these forums.

The game I downloaded seem to be very very slow. Now I have been through all the trouble shooting exercises and these seem to be to little or no change.

Again I sorry if this repeating the question - my system seems to exceed all the minimum specs (listed below) all my drivers are up to date - just need some good old plane help - I want to sink my teeth into this sim! :)

My SYSTEM

Hi Orion Pilot

You are correct about one thing;  your questions have been asked and answered before.  All you have to do is register your game here on the forum (in "Profile" on the yellow bar at the top of the page), and the so-far hidden technical areas of the forum will become open to you.

There is also an easier way to show the essentials of your system. It's called Dxdiag.. ;)

Am I correct in seeing that the OP has a ATI 5570?
If so then I would be guessing that as the main culprit!
It is a very very budget card and not really suitable for 3d type games such as SSE.
A review: http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/radeon_hd_5570_review,8.html
shows that it is at the bottom of the list as far as frame count goes with even FarCry2which is not the most hungry of games.
I'd suggest purchasing a GPU that can do the job better (properly).
Apart from that all seems Ok but the CPU is not the fastest either.
But the slowness I would guess is primarily the fault of the GPU?
