Still, if nothing else, it's a creative idea ;) And I don't know who else is following VSTEP on YouTube with a subscription.

I'm not sure I follow..

There's not much secret anymore about the specs and features of the Pro version. It being released and having a website that states it's features and all.

What's the idea part you mention? or am I missing something?

Only the helicopter as player (maybe) object got my attention...    The rest is well known old stuff.

There are known knowns - things we know we know, and there are known unknowns - things we know we don't know, but there are also unknown unknowns - things we don't know we don't know (but it will almost certainly be very good)

Hey, with all those frigates, the helicopter (if it makes it in, which I hope it does), and an even more improved Titanic model, we could reenact http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4W2veQzd6Q rather nicely on MP, or even this scene with enough people: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=msqXtAd9dps!

behind the esperanza there appears to be the japanese whaleing fleet hopefully these are player ships, not to kill whales just so I can sink them over and over again, also wouldn't the steve irwin been a better choice than the esperanza for a whaleing ship?

As has been said many times already. 1st q 2010 is the latest *rumour* but that isn't an official guarantee I don't think...

ShipSim is a non-violent game... Helping other vessels to Davy Jones' locker and jeperdize both crews isnt really what we are looking for

Err.... Says who? If people want to re-enact battles between grimpeace and the Japanese whaling fleets (AND they do it on an MP server that doesn't upset others,) then where's the problem?

When people have created sinkings on SS/VS etc and put it on youtube they are recreating similar real events which, in most cases, has multiple deaths... I wonder which is the worst scenario of the two.

Only for a while until the situation with the number of usermade servers, similar to what we have now.

But when people do come on, they will have more excuses to just go around ramming people...

Wrong, make that until the readings of the number of people on any given server become wildly inaccurate.

There are a number of reasons for the dimise of MP, all of which we shouldn't dwell on.. I still have great times on MP, just imagine how good the new MP will be in SSE.. :P

The game will improve, of course... But the people who like playing dodgems will still be there...
