Smaller boats bounce in rough seas

I am new to this game and posting so please forgive me if this problem has been posted before.  In a couple of the easier missions ie. "Ship needs pilot" and "Rescue yahtsmen"  the resuce boats bounce around to much in the rough seas making it impossible to get anywhere.  Is the a fix to this?

The fix is to learn how to control the boats in rough seas. That was the intent of the mission creator.

If you find that your controls do not respond fast enough, then you probably have a very low frame rate because your computer is not fast enough for this game.

Also you may find it is easier to control fast boats with "precision steering" turned off..

Hi kpj1,
As saltydog said, you will have better luck with precision steering disabled. For one thing, it allows you to return the throttle to stop, or the steering wheel to amidships, quickly by just pressing one of the arrow keys. This is useful when you are about to lose it on the Jetski.
It is best to steer with the mouse on the wheel for small corrections, especially on the Jetski.
For the larger boats in a heavy sea, you can often just tap the left/right arrow keys for course corrections.

To turn Precision steering off/on, click on the Settings button in the lower right corner of the mission screen (12th from the left, looks like a wrench).
In the Game Preferences window, click the Controls button.
Check the Precision steering box to turn it on.
Un-check the Precision steering box to turn it off.
Click the OK button.

With Precision Steering off:
Hold the right shift key down while you press the arrow keys to move the throttle and wheel.
Release the shift key after you release the arrow key.
