I have had this for about 7 years, it's a Logitech Trackman wheel (old model). You move the cursor with your thumb rather than move the whole mouse, so it will take getting used to. Very easy to clean, and very comfortable to use.
It's been around for many years, so you may find it hard to get one..

That Logitech is a good mouse. I use it with my laptop because I can put it on my knee when thereâ€™s no other room.
Itâ€™s also very ruggedâ€”it has fallen off my knee many times with no damage.
My only problem is keeping my finger from creeping up the right side and touching the right-hand button.
