Not to sound cliched, but what a long, strange, trip it's been.

On the subject of money:

Yeah, heading back to see next month, have a week in Englandshire with the kids then they are coming out here for a week.  When I take them back I am joining another one of the companies ships as cargo to visit my girlfriend who is working onboard before transferring directly (well almost directly) to my ship for 3 months of schmoozing cargo and fighting with the office.

Where will you be trading? I'd guess the Med is the place to be this time of year?

I'll be back at school within a few weeks for a ship management course to get my chief mate all ships license. If all goes well I'll be back at sea somewhere mid July for another delivery!

Yeah, Eastern Med.

The ship I am on presently trades in the Red Sea in the winter and the Eastern Med in the Summer, I am hoping that they will cancel the Red Sea this year as the Egyptians are revolting, but I guess they have berths booked about 2 years in advance so probably not.

Can't believe you will have your mates license soon, great news.  It seems like just a few minutes ago since you qualified, time flies when your having fun!

If I hang around here much longer Irish Jack will have his master's!

Isn't it "RHIB" not "RIB"? not wanting to be a definition troll or anything...
