CC, I use a laptop too, Both in secondry school and now collage! ;)
I had to buy mine though...
I wouldn't recommend a macbook in school, or atleast not secondry school anyway. I used a panasonic toughbook, there expensive, but there litterally bombproof!
Mine cost alot because I had a few "extra" features, including mobile internet and a GPS   It also has a touchscreen :P but that was included in the price.

fair enought

So how is everyone today?

I feel like I have been running around chasing my tail all day without actually achieving anything.

I can barely remember when I used to be an engineer, I am just a highly paid secretary these days. :(

I'd much rather be a highly paid secretary than a low paid oiler..

I don't know, before I leave the sea I want to do one trip to sea as an engine room wiper, I can just see myself with a mop and bucket making things clean for 3 months, not having to answer e-mails, not needing to go to management meetings, not having to do risk assessments, not having to plan policies, just cleaning.

How can you say that without that it has been confirmed? 16 are now confirmed dead.  :-\

The rescue team is now saying that they have accepted that there can't be anyone left alive on the ship.

Either everyone who is missing is trapped onboard and dead, or made it off the ship, but somehow remained unaccounted for.  While I am sure that everyone is hoping for the second, unfortunately the first is more likely.  It must be an awful time for the families, especially those still unaccounted for.

I have been hearing that the Concordia is slowly moving into deeper waters. will they just let it do that, or move it to a more out-of-the-way location to protect shipping lines?

There are no shipping lanes there, which is kind of the point of the whole incident.
