So I'm looking to get a desktop, to run Ship Simulator Extremes, and found a one piece by Gateway with these specs:
Processor: Intel® Pentium® Processor E58001 (3.2GHz, 2MB L2 cache)6
Operating System: Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium (64-bit)7
Memory: 3072MB DDR3 Dual-Channel Memory8
Memory Capacity: Maximum 8GB
Hard Drive: 500GB 7200RPM SATA hard drive2
Video: Integrated Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator X4500HD8
Is that graphics card any good for the game, or should I look for anything better?

Hello Trains,
Your PC config is well suited for running SSE ....... BUT ...... it does not have a stand alone (dedicated) graphics card. The PC has "integrated video" which means it is embedded in the motherboard. You have to get a separate video card and install it.
Please see the attachment which gives the minimum specs of the recommended graphics card.
If you can reveal your budget for the card, I can recommend a suitable one.

I think this one might be my choice. What do you guys think? And can I true the second site for the price?

Hello Trains,
The Gateway computers shown in both the web links you have posted will be suitable for running SSE.

Thanks Vin. My only concern now is, can I trust the second link, which is more than $200 less? Or should I think of picking one up at the store for Gateway's price?

Hi Scott,
The specifications of the Gateways in both the web links are practically the same. The original Gateway guys maybe throwing in a few extras, warranty, anti virus, etc.
However, I did notice in the specifications in the second one - it says "recertified". You'll have to figure out what they mean. Otherwise, the price difference of $200 is worth it.

I see. Well I'll see what I can figure out from their site. Luckily my birthday is next month, so I'm asking everyone for money to buy what I want. Maybe I'll tell people I'm looking at a $749.99 desktop, so I can pay for that one if I need to  Haha
