Not alot of people on multiplayer

How come there are not alot of people on the normal ship simulator 2008.  Im getting the new horizons add on soon but i cant find any to play online with.

Not much to do in multiplayer so I guess that's the answer. Lack of opportunities to perform missions together or at least have something more to do than races, sightseeing, party-towing, chat fight, ram party's etc...
Lack of serious gaming and serious simulation...(some of it ::))

I guess the British prime minister cud said it better than me ;)
