Try gloves, but wear mittens over them. Mittens preserve body heat the best, and it you need to take them off for some specific work, you still have the gloves as backup.

The weather here in England seems fine.
Clear skies, sunny, VERY VERY COLD.

I was in England for a total of around 14 hours last night, I have never been so glad to get on a plane as I was this morning, it was so cold I thought bits were going fall off.  I have a week in Ireland in December, I may shrivel and die.

Right now the temperature is 32 degrees, and it snowed all day yesterday and the day before. Climate change sure is fun! :P

Looks like Sandy will be bad for the Eastern megalopolis. Let the day after tomorrow begin!

Turns out that Hurricane Sandy will be the perfect storm! Not only will there be enormous waves, but high tides to make it worse. Then a winter system will hold the storm for a few days in north-eastern US.

NOAA is calling this "a worst case scenario". I have a feeling this storm will be hard to forget.

Although the Canaries are part of Spain, we are actually around 120km from the coast of Western Sahara.

Much cooler today though only 24C :(

STAR WARS VII!!!! ;D

... are you trolling, or is Lucas really going to make that?

If so, he's not that bright. The saga was centric around Anakin Skywalker, and how he became a malevolent warlord but then sacrificed his life to save his estranged son. The whole point of the story was how good can become bad, but inside is still good.

So if they actually are making a 7th Star Wars, I'll facepalm so hard I might get a concussion.

Just been thinking, when will WM be unbanned?
I think that is a question only mad_fred can answer. I know he's around on the shipspotting forum though,
I don't think he's completely banned. You can still see his profile pic, signature, etc. in all his previous posts, and you can still view his profile. He's either [still] temporarily banned, or just lost interest in this forum.
When you ban someone on a SMF forum, it doesn't delete the account, so other uses can still access the profile. If the profile was deleted, the ban would be gone!
Also - a permanent ban is the same a temporary one, but with the "expiry date" set to infinity :P
Alright enough talk about that someone's gonna get WMitis... ;D

Whenever I come (as guest or member) I always first search for recent topics about "wm" or "wave music" or "wavemusic"...   just for the sake of curiosity if this place is if only a tiny bit the same.  ;D
Officially I'm helplessly & unbearably banned from here, even when none remembers for what & why, mods keep Fred's covenant to ban whoever comes & reveals that he's WM.
_______

HOWEVER! (however) I'm free to come here whenever I want & however I want - to charge with nostalgia of good times spent here in 2008-2010 with awesome deuds that most are either no longer active here or changed with time.
Rbsanford (don't remember him) is partly right about me "losing interest to this forum" & I can't blame myself other than SSE which after gold promises & uncountable postpones turned out to be a fail compared to what all expected from it, which led to all the before mentioned awesome deuds to slowly but surely desert this place.  Well, it was all foreseen in early days nevertheless.  ::)

And ugh, I feel I lost my unique style of humour/wit/sarcasm/etc which sometimes I don't recognize myself while reading my old posts on here.
