Ahhh, I wonder how they are able to fight off the DC(itse) trade? Suppose they cater for the unaccompanied stuff? Cant imagine DC(itse) caters much for that?

I loved the Pride of Telemark (I knew her as the Stena Empereur/Pride of Provence)

The interior of the OS isn't great from what I remember, but she has a nice exterior.

The OS is nice and curvey :)

Still think she looks quite modern, she hasn't aged too much? When was she born, 1991?

The OS was on the Overnight Portsmouth-Le Havre run before the witch around, which was probably the route she was best suited for...

nowadays, as you saw, she is a complete ghost ship...

Left hand driving is harder than it looks

I remember seeing the pride of provence in an old P&O broucher and thinking that looks quite new and modern, only whenever i stumbled upon her specs was i shocked...

Some ferry forums are suggesting that the Ostend-Ramsgate passengers route/service is incredibly expensive. Compared to LDL prices on the Oostende route some passengers pay more than lorries… I know from my experience that a LDL Ostend-Ramsgate day trip for around 110 euros (+ 2,50 euros visa payment costs, because the Ostend bookings office is closed) is rather expensive, compared with P&O, Norfolkline, Seafrance (where labor costs are much higher). Why do you increase the passengers prices? By contrast, freight rate remain fairly low. TEF Blue loyalty card (48euro for a 48h return crossing, 9pers), what about a LDL loyalty program on the Ostend-Ramsgate route? This passengers connection can not be viable, what is the intention of LDL in Osted? After more than a decade we know that TEF is well placed on the channel freight marked

Today, prices rise. 225 euros for a day trip between Oostende and Ramsgate, instead of the promised 97 euro. Once more Pierre and Johan Vandenalotte, you are closing Ostend for passengers… Incredible…

Ostend and passengers, that becomes impossible by LDLines.

No foot passengers, too expensive (passengers gangway will be demolished). No cyclists, to dangerous (but for cyclists you don’t need additional investments). No LDL publicity in Ostend and or Belgium, Norfolkline and Eurotunnel did so. No service on Ostend Spirit, passengers who paid for an extra service do not get what they payed for. No loyalty program. 225 euro for a day trip on Gardena (frighter) and Ostend spirit (without service). TEF passengers bookings office was closed by LDL (additional costs to pay on the internet: 2,50 euro). We saw Ostend Spirit regularly between Dover and Boulogne this spring. Up to ten passenger vehicles per sailing (this may not be profitable)

The route seems to run the old P&O Larne-Cairnryan/Dover-Calais(itse) ferries? Maybe it could be faced with closure? Its an alternative to the D-C(itse) option.

If they are ticking over then surely they aren't going anywhere?

Well, we figured out the bang on the head and something else came all at once, the bang on the head is practically gone and bug wise everything is fine apart from the odd little thing (nothing major, no pains) so all should be fine in the next few days
