Title: VSTEP didn't make response for my question
Post by: deltasim on December 08, 2007, 17:26:19
Because I didn't response for my question, I receive it as lack of interest of my boats in SS2008.

PS. shame VSTEP team, I response for all posts to me!

Greetings,
I think they are still very busy with that multiplayer-mode.
Thats maybe the reason of the abcense of a answer.Give them some time, i'm sure they will reply on your post.

Or maybe they should upgrade their support department with more people...
"Sorry.. we are working on a patch now and cannot answer you".. sounds like a bad excuse to me.
Looks to me that this forum is taking almost any technical issues... You dont have a 24 hour open support line that you can call, or any "Live Support" that you can chat with... :-*

Yeah yeah... keep on rocking guys! It will get harder when the game becomes more popular and the mass of players/customers grow. :P

JHB, come on. Join reality will you?

Apart from practically demanding that shipsim is redesigned to your requirements, now you want them to take on more staff to answer the MANY questions they receive through this forum every day.

The reality of running a business is a little different to your perception I can tell you.

Im suggesting, not demanding. You always take my words as demanding...I'm not a leader!
Maybe you should run a business yourself to get a understanding what customer support has to do with customers satisfaction and what makes customers annoyed. Do that before you tell me what to do. You don't know me and live far from my home, family and you even don't know my education or anything.
Stop behaving like that to people that suggest stuff to this forum, because as I told - it's a suggestion, not a demand. If you don't like it... well... ignore it and don't reply.

Or you can kick me out, and do it to anyone that have a suggestion or some critics to post if that makes more sense to you. :P

I think, the reason is that my models are to detailed and are to heavy (in model) for SS, so VSTEP don't know what to do with that problem. But I think, they should try answer - maybe - "NO THANKS".
If the potential clients will be ignored, they (VSTEP) won't go far.
It's a pity.

Now hold on a mo, if they are busy that's fine. Give them time. They're not a huge comany you know. Your models are greatr and we all want them in ShipSim. Just time :)

I do... and I've just sold it for lots of money. Thanks for the advice. You have to balance customer requests with the realities of life. You can not agree to every request a customer makes.

I am not 'having a go' at you. I just think you need to reduce your continious expectations. Helping Vstep develop by giving ideas is a good thing, but I think you need to re-appraise where constructive criticism and whinging meet.

Yes, do please give Vstep some time.  They are a small company and perhaps their response isn't as prompt as you are maybe used to from the makers of FS, deltasim.  But please remember, the makers of FS are supported by Microsoft, the largest company in the world.  Vstep do it all themselves.

A better response, Capt D, would have been to say "Make demands of MS and then time the response... Preferably with email sent directly to Uncle Bill himself.
