Do you have to crank it to turn it on?
Nope, he has to raise steam before he can turn it on, then keep stocking the boilers whenever he wants to click the mouse
Does anyone know any liquids that will not conduct electricity apart from de-ionised water and cooking/mineral oil? I want to build a "submerged" computer using my chrstmas money, so i'm trying to find things which will act as coolent, but won't eat their way through the acrilic casing.

mercury to conduct electricity, oil for protection underwater. oil molecules are hydrophobic, so it should work. but the question is how to keep the oil on without damaging the comuter.

Not to sound cliched, but what a long, strange, trip it's been.

Danny I've seen that the submerged pc isn't really a good idea of keeping it cool, instead it will just heat up the fluid around the parts unless you stick some massive fans or even a boat prop in to keep te fluid constantly moving.

You could just go the classic watercooling method and then build a case which has a water-tight compartment in with an external water-tight layer where it is filled with liquid so the computer is always seperate however still giving the impression it is in a liquid.

In my head I know what i mean but you may not, will explain later on skype

Already 27 degrees again! Flat sea and even the dolphins are floating around the ship on the surface enjoying the sun!

If you're not careful you're going to have cracks appearing on your skin from the changes in temperature
