Hello all you ship sim enthusiasts!

I am Fred, a flightsim nutt that discovered this wonderful form of simming. I thought I'd introduce myself and say hello.

Saw SS2006 at a mates house and decided to buy both SS2006+Exp and SS2008. I don't really have a nautical background but still enjoy this sim a lot.

I'm looking forward to the coming multiplayer feature, playing community missions and maybe sharing some of my future missions with you,

No worries though, I wasn't really offended but just in a bit of a sarcastic mood, forgive me..

I hope to learn a bit from you "salty seadogs"

, as I don't know much about sailing yet (rules, procedures etc.). But I allready found a ton of usefull info that really helped me get more into this sim. I didn't think this somewhat slow paced stuff would interest a (mainly) combat flight simmer like myself, but It does and I really like it so far.

And yeah, Animal is my all time favorite idol.

(Yeah I play drums too... well, actually I play guitar and bass and if need be some keyboard too, but in the band that I am in, I play the drums)

Just for the record, as you may have noticed, I'm a complete novice on pretty much everything ship-related......but I am learning

Animal was my all-time favourite Muppet, that takes me back to my childhood, I still remember watching The Muppets on TV every Sunday night

Yeah, it's the best show ever. period. That new format with the "next generation" muppets was nice, but the classic can't be beat. I wish they would do Muppet re-runs here on prime time like those days. I see it pop up here and there, now and again, but nowhere near enough and never on prime time like in the "good old days".

The same here,i think imissed your post the first time,so welcome to our very nice and living forum.
However,you may not know anything about shipping,or vessels.As long as you enjoy the game we are happy!
The rest you can learn,because we have some good sailors,ex-captains and skippers on this forum to.
Please,if you have problems,they are happy to help you out.
Thats whats happens all the time on this forum,and is also the meaning of this forum.

That Muppet Show clip is fantastic and one of my all time favorites. That one was in my bookmarks aswell, heheh.. But I hadn't watched it in a while so thanks for reminding me of that one

I do indeed enjoy the sim a lot and am reading all the interesting forum bits to get to know more about sailing. Allready learned a lot of stuff and looking forward to the stuff that is to come.
