Title: Ship Console
Post by: elstoplo on September 09, 2012, 11:18:05
Hello everybody,

First sorry for my bad English.
I have purchased a Ship Console for my Ship Simulator Extremes.
I get the Ship Console in Windows 7 not calibrated. I think it will not work in Windows 7, is that correct?

My question is;
Is the Ship Console compatble with Windows 7 64 bits version?
I have tested this in Windows XP in conjuntion with Ship Simulator 2008 and it works fine there. No  problem!

What should i do to the Ship Console to work properly in Windows 7 under Ship Simulator Extremes.
Tell me what i need to do step by step to get working.
Sincerly i am waiting for your replay,

Jan Stoppelenburg
The Netherlands.

Which one did you buy ?
Did you buy the one from vstep themselfs ? http://www.shipsim.com/products/shipcontrolunit or did you buy a different one ?
If so , can you link to the one that you bought.

I have had nothing but problems getting after-sale support for my Ship Console. I purchased it from ShipSim but it was shipped to me by SimWare. It worked well with my SSE on Windows 7 (64 bit), except that the Engine Throttle sliders did not register a signal in the game. All other buttons, axis controls, etc worked. I have shipped it back TWICE to SimWare in Belgium as instructed by ShipSim Support. In addition to paying US$550 for the unit, I also had to pay $51 US Post and $245 UPS Worldwide. And I STILL have not received any communication from SimWare that they received it, or even intend to repair or replace it. What must I do to get some help?... Fly to Brussels myself??
