Did my first ever Kayaking trip yesterday on the River Wye, my back and neck really hurt now  it was brilliant fun though, and I didn't capsize!

i remeber the first time I did Kayaking was on a lake for Do Something Diffrent (it was a BBC kids show and I was 10 or 11 at the time). The only part I was on TV was when I capsides
Though I cant complain as a few years later I had an interview with BBC News for the London 2012 Flotila

If you're kayaking for the first time, be sure to go with an experienced person or get a swimming pool training session first, otherwise its REALLY dangerous. Getting out upsidedown is apparently pretty easy, but I didn't even want to find out... :P The Fjords would be a really nice place to Kayak, just the silence and the scenery...

Though I cant complain as a few years later I had an interview with BBC News for the London 2012 Flotila

Ahh, I had a chance to be on TV once - when there was the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, one of the fighter pilots lived close to me and my Dad and I took him down to Heathrow for the Anniversary flight (we got seats on the plane too but thats another story). Whilst in the lounge at the business class hotel (first and last time I'll ever be in there ;)) a TV camera swooped up and said 'Do you know anything about the Battle of Britain?'. Under shock, I said no. Stupid me, I knew loads!

Getting out of a kayak is easy as you fall out :P
And about the TV - the only reason I was filmed was because I knew welsh and they wanted the same person for the English and the welsh channels - so every bit you saw of me on the flotilla I had to film it in English and welsh!

Kyaks can be tricky little ******** to get in and out of sometimes.

Sometimes you end up getting really wet.

Not in mine! Its a sit in with top and that plus a splashdeck means you gotta know what you're doing  :-\ getting a sit on fishing kayak (with no top) would be best, as yes, you just fall out :)

Sometimes you end up getting really wet.

When I was getting out of mine onto the bank I nearly tipped up, I felt really embarressed as there were loads of people hiring canoes that were watching me

Not to sound cliched, but what a long, strange, trip it's been.

Not fond of ANY of the RCI fleet, but this does look nice :) Although I don't like the angled glass above the bridge

Yes it's my first ship but not first model in SketchUp.... I've made many bridges for VS ships and I've also put instruments inside the bridge (throts, thrusts..if you know from VS :) )

Here are some other pics from the model...
the bridge still needs some work

It has great detail, i love it!
Perhaps you could do some renders of the ship using Kerkythea?

I recently made a topic about one of my ships, (not advertising or anything) but the topic isn't showing up in the "Last Post" section of the Development Corner which is why i'm attaching a link:
