Well, no need to wait for Mr Nathan- I'm pretty sure this isn't the PO Hull ;)

Question:

What is the name of this ship (below) that has recently been axed by P&O due to total management incompetence and a general failure to exercise the duty of care of every corporate director in that to maximise utilisation of corporate resources for the maximum return to shareholders.

I will give you a clue: The name is on the bow of the ship... (I didn't see it as worthwhile removing it since we all know what I'm talking about here)

By any chance the Pride of Bilbao, soon to be named something Irish with a big cloverleaf on the funnel..

 :o  HOW did you guess?

Is it really going to Ireland, or is that just an off the cuff comment?

Not sure what you mean here Stuart as DP World, the operators, don't have any shareholders?

Firstly, without wishing to go off topic, P&O Ferries Ltd is still an incorporated company, registered at companies house. Its parent company DP World ports own 100% shares in the company... There are still identifiable shares in the company.

Michael, with great respect, perhaps before trying to pull me up on a spurious point- you could at least check you are right  ;D

Nah, I don't think anyone knows what Irish ferries will do with her (or even use her?).

Ok, 3 Part Question

1) Name of the ship
2) Where is she now
3) What happened to her in 1989 to 1990 in Bremerhaven?

A shame... I liked the 2 grasshoppers, although they were very slow by comparison to others on the DC(ITSE) channel.

No, it wasn't torpedoed, Britannic...

Fantasia is now the Wawel, and runs up the Baltic from Gdansk to Stockholm. It is operated by Polferries. It has been re-built inside to a proper overnight ferry, with cabins etc.

It looks pretty good now- some things get better with age...

Its a Fuso class battleship of the Japanese Imperial Navy.

Based on the top of the tower, I'd say it was actually Fuso itself (the other 2 had different obs deck)

A Dutch bloke answers a question about a Polish Navy ship, which was fighting in Britain against the Germans. Truly a multinational answer.

Yes, you are exactly right.

Bonus point if you can tell me where the ship was built and why it was actually moored in the Medina.
