With NATO summet not to far from where I was,  watched the Warships come into Cardiff Bay, but what realy gets me is why did they tow them in backs first? why not bow first? i know there were only feet on each side so they had to be towed in but why stern first?
Anyone got an idea?

No idea, but I went down to Weston Super Mare today, Police EVERYWHERE, on the M48 crossing, every road bridge down to the M4/M5 interchange covered in police. They're doing spot checks too, it's quite a too-doo!

Over 9,000 policemen alone have been deployed to Cardiff - that does not don't the policemen there. There is armed police on every bridge on the M4 from the Severn bridge to Cardiff (that's a lot of bridges!)
I'm not joking but EVERY hotel in Cardiff and Newport are full and hotels in Bristol are kinda full!
I know a lorry driver has this lay by outside Cardiff where he times out so he sleeps there as it's quite and free, he had police knocking on his lorry telling " he could be a threat to NATO"- even though his lorry was empty as it was comming back to base and they policed escorted him from the lay by to a service station, made sure he stayed, signed his papers to allow him to moved when he was timed out and he had to pay £18 for it! He was mines away from NATO!
I'm back in Dyfed and I am miles away from it but even here I noticed a hell of a lot of police! And I'm 100 miles from it
Croeso I Gymru! Mae'r heddlu yn barrod I bod yn poin gyda NATO!
( translation: welcome to Wales! The police are ready to be a pain with NATO)

M4 from the Severn bridge to Cardiff (that's a lot of bridges!)

And they're further back than that, they're even on the M48 old crossing  and there's loads of them and they're permanently patrolling! Apparently AirForce One went into Fairford last night, if I had gone up to the local hill I expect I would have been able to look across the river and see it land!

Yeah it was a slight problem airforce one couldn't land in Cardiff althought the Welsh Goverment spent £50 million on it
I noticed around here there not much has changed apart from everyone back at school but there is defently a lot more police about and there are some people wanting NATO to go away - I seem videos of one of the conveys one of my friend shot on his phone - full escort - west on the m4 was blocked off by a car in each lane in the from and the back of the M4 to stop anyone getting to close and there was over 20 cars following him!

Apple announces a smart watch!
Slight Problem - My watch on my wrist tells me 2 times zones (UK Time zone and Eastern Europe time as i havent changed it back), The tide, 6 alarm clocks,  count down, stop watch and got a gyroscope to light up the LCD screen in the dark - and it cost me £20  ::)
What can the apple watch do for £200 which this one cant

I have a car I drive around our field (see the cars and truck thread) and I lost the key for that a few months back - and I still haven't found it. Had to break in and hotwire it...

I would have kept that quite as the police could see that and if a car goes missing in your area, they know where to look

It had no immobiliser which means no alarm, and I got in through the passenger door which had a dodgy lock so actually anyone could have got into it. Plus with some of the guys in my local village, if a car goes missing I'm gonna be the last one they look to!

She grounded and was holed below the water line, flooding was limited to 1 or 2 compartments, she was refloated and towed to Corfu where passengers and cargo were safely discharged.

Speaking of accidents...

The other day the Paul R. Tregurtha ran aground while trying to avoid a small craft in the shipping lane.  Apparently there wasn't much damage, and she's free now.

They have given that a proper bump, haven’t they?

Don’t think that will polish out.
