Speaking of Cunard...

This is currently one of the most popular pictures on Imgur. As you can see it's of the Queen Mary II with her captain posing on the bulb.

Not to sound cliched, but what a long, strange, trip it's been.

Would love to see the risk assessment for that!

Apart from that, she needs a hull scrub.

Love that image :D

Would love to see the risk assessment for that!

Something along the lines of:
Quote
Risk: Captain slips of bulb
Risk prevention: There isn't one

 ;)

Would love to but too far from home and I don't think I'll be able to talk myself out of college a day before exam season starts
Are you planning to?

I saw a risk assessment of doing a basic science experiment with chemicals (not toxic) - it was about 5 pages long  :o
Anyway someone was lazy enough just to scrub a platform big enough for him to stand on. - just imagine there was a freak wave or something happened onboard to make the boat pitch - he would have gone for a nice swim!

That sounds nasty AA, you ought to see a doctor.

Halfway from London to Lanzarote at the moment, in flight wi-fi is great, hopefully some of the long haul airlines will start using it soon, although it's slow enough on a Boeing 737, dread to think how bad it would be on a bigger plane shared between so many more people.

Maybe if Malaysian Airlines had onboard wifi someone could have Tweeted were that plane has gone to!

But seriously, how's it going for everyone? The forum has been so quiet...

I'm doing fine, for the past couple of days it's about 55 degrees (Fahrenheit) here in New York, which is a far cry from the average 10 - 25 degrees it's been for the past few months, it got down to about -40 for a couple of days, yes, negative forty. And I think winter might just be over, although something tells me it's not over.

The weather here is...interesting...

Yesterday it rained all day, and this morning it was the worst blizzard I've ever seen (heavy snowfall, winds of 20-30 mph, visibility at times as low as thirty feet, and hordes of stuck cars). But since 10 it's been 40o and partly cloudy.

But this winter was impressive; an entire week of -10 highs, a night that dipped to -70 (coldest recorded temperature in Duluth in over a century), five major snowstorms, and eight days cut from the school year. In theory it can only get warmer...

It has been smoggy in Singapore this week, I have just about gotten over the jet lag, I have been in the office for a week and was supposed to be joining a ship out here, now flying to Aberdeen tonight to join a ship there instead, so another week of jet lag coming up!

Safe trip and all that.
