The free cruise was generous, but I have a feeling the passengers won't want it.

Not to sound cliched, but what a long, strange, trip it's been.

Good evening from the South China Sea, it's a bit lumpy out here, I spent the first couple of days on board uneating my dinner / breakfast, thankfully have gotten used to the motion now so not seasick anymore and so dog tired that I can sleep even though my bunk is doing a bucking bronc impression.

I had forgotten just how god awful small ships were in bad weather.

I hate ships, I don't like engines and I get seasick, do you think I could sue my careers adviser?

Well, That was an interesting break...

@Clanky, can you not turn the stabilisers on? Or "generate" a fault which would put the ship back in port?

The weather is amazing! :o

It must be 35-40o, no wind, clear skies, and it's been unusually bright (this morning at 7:15 the sun was 1/4 through the sky. Now at 2:14 PM it's around 5/8 through).

Did the Earth's axis shift a little too far last night?

Good to see you back Danny, stabilisers, oh yeah, I remember them, big passenger ships right? Why did I ever go offshore.  As for generating faults to go back to port I have a bit of a story about that, if you buy me enough beer I might tell it one day.

Now compare the "new posts" during the release of SSE to the amount of new topics in the SSE technical support board

@Clanky, if we ever cross paths I'll buy you a beer - just to hear the story  ;D

Let me guess: Norwegian? Their hulls are always a little flamboyant.

And does anyone know anything about the new Royal Caribbean ship?

Wikipedia (rarely correct) says the Quantum ots will be delivered by Fall 2014 and the Anthem ots by Spring 2015 And another (not yet named) by Summer 2016. Note: They won't be as large as the Oasis class.

So the future is bright for RCI in my eyes :)

Though, it was reported that it will surpass the size of the Freedom Class, making those 2 new cruiseships the 2nd largest on the planet.  :P

I can't help but state that the Allure is 2 inches longer than the Oasis... So they would be the third largest :P

What did you expect? It's a cruise ship, you can't camouflage that with a painting!
