There's a reason why its hard... because you can't learn to be ambidextrous. You're either born a lefty, a righty, or ambidextrous. You can't "learn" to become a righty if you're a lefty and vice versa. The same applies to becoming ambidextrous.

You can't learn to become ambidextrous, but you can learn to be more proficient with your unfavoured hand.  So while a right handed person cannot become left handed they can learn to write with the left hand.

Many schools (especially religious schools) used to force children to write with their right hand regardless of whether they were right or left handed and those children were eventually able to write with their right hand.

Actually, that is not true..  it is the other way around. True ambidexterity, that naturally occurs, is rare.  Only 1 in 100 ambidextrous people are naturally ambidextrous, the other 99 have learned it. I have learned it mostly by playing the drums for many many years (it's not just hands, feet/legs count too), and learned writing with my left hand during an extended period of recovering from a complicated fracture in my right arm.

But you can learn it, and the majority have. Only the odd one out has not and is born with it.

And now we wait for a certain sea-farer to come along and say something along the lines of "I tried to sail into X dock and managed to get alongside no problem  ???"

and most times you can do that with certain places.BUT you try and stay on that berth for more than 5 to 10 mins and its a night mare.I have to say that is the first time i have lost it and wanted to smash up my pc. Now that is bad. I did have players asking if i was departing and i did manage to answer without swearing, but i dont know how.

uhmm, ambidextrous???   :C    As if someone wants to drive a car with one steering wheel for each front wheel, like a guy who is so obsessively in love with his wife and strives to get also her twin sister in bed? It all reminds me of the superman mentality of the '70 which finally failed when people found out that a traffic jam of flyin' supermen would end up in unpredictable casualties. Won't work man, stick with the traditional nature of the human, it's much easier to make a society with it!

Your pizza may never arrive, because the delivery boy's car fell into the gaping maw of the Apocalypse.

At least your pizza will be well cooked.
