Hey Guys,
Some of you remember me some not, but I'm trying to get back into Ship Sim, I used to be really active but due to a busy schedule fell back on it. Care to fill me in on what's happening?

Take Care,
Matt

Remember World of Warships? Well this is how the game looks and it's only in pre-alpha so far ;D (The images released prior to this, particularly the ones on the game's website, have been placeholders.)

Looks nice, but same as with the two sister products, I am not expecting any serious simulation or very accurate physics at all, contrary to what they might claim.. heh.. I wasn't impressed with the few semi-realistic features and on the whole the games were very arcade-like on many many fronts, not simulation like the 'real ones' do..  I prefer Rise of Flight, the IL2 series and SH3+4 for that kinda stuff to be honest. Of course these games are totally different, as MMO's, so you can't really call the world-of games sims or compare it to those.  :)

Although they will make differences to either subtly speed game up and make the interface less like a simulator (such as not allowing for anchors, because they wouldn't be used during naval combat), they still research and know the subject deeply, and do what they can to ensure that the feeling of naval strategy survives.

Even if they simplify the mechanics to be more friendly to their main server, they are still well aware of the more intricate aspects of hydrodynamics.

To quote one of the developers in the forum's Q&A when someone asked if turbo-electric driven ships will turn faster than ships of other engine types, "Ships steer with the help of rudder, this is the main form of steering. To determine the ship's maneuverability is necessary to consider the shape and size of the rudders, block coefficient, ship hydrodynamics of its underwater part, the radius of circulation and many other factors. Engine and transmission type - the tenth largest factor."

California Pizza kitchen's White Pizza! ;D

Or come up to Grand Marais, MN to Sven and Ole's, or to Hayward, WI to the River Cafe. Also Bulldog's and Sammy's have great pizza! But I don't think they deliver that far away...

But why is it your last?

The world will end soon because the Mayans accurately predicted that by now humanity will have failed.
