The fun really starts on the first day of school, when you must pick up all your books at the same time. I have this big backpack where all the 50-60 pounds of books just can go in. I even got my tire flat because of the weight concentrated on my backwheel!  :o

why do i have to carry my laptop to school,
then my penicle case
2 fat files
and 5-6 books
thats about 20KG
why can't my bag get lighter?
and im using my own laptop, the school ones weigh a lot more!
cant wait till 6 form - i get a macbook air then i can do my work on iwork.com so its a lot lighter

You actually bring laptops to your school?  :o
Everyone here is always afraid that theirs will be stolen, like someone took my pencil case a few days ago, and still hasn't turned up yet...  :-\

Our head doesn't like stealing also, but he more seems like: Well, it happens every day, so it can't be stopped anyways...  ::)
Although, if you do get caught stealing a laptop or a mobile phone, you will be suspended and turned over to the police, here on my school.  :P

CC, I use a laptop too, Both in secondry school and now collage! ;)
I had to buy mine though...
I wouldn't recommend a macbook in school, or atleast not secondry school anyway. I used a panasonic toughbook, there expensive, but there litterally bombproof!
Mine cost alot because I had a few "extra" features, including mobile internet and a GPS   It also has a touchscreen :P but that was included in the price.
