I knew one guy who in 22 went on his first trip on a ship as a cadet. Whether he was washed off the ship during the first storm or was he deliberately thrown overboard or did he intentionally jump off the ship - still now one knows. The fact is the casket was empty. Just sayin'.

I can't guarantee that it will all be a bed of roses (in fact I can pretty much guarantee that it won't!), but I have been at sea for nearly 20 years now and if I could go back and do it all over again there's not much I would change (apart from that fat girl in Santos

Just so you know that work at sea is not about the brave captains with huge ego, dandy ships & screaming seagulls. No wonder everywhere's written SAFETY FIRST
