Rules:
- You can post up to 3 your favourite ferries/RoRo & only once.
- Those have to be ship(s), that you seen by your own eyes. Not on images, videos, etc.
- Would be appreciated if you could provide images or links to images of those ships & maybe some infos.
- No debates on "My ferry is better than yours!" & similar! ;)
- Have fun!

I was lucky to travel several times with ROMILDA between PIRAEUS and PAROS or KARPATHOS

She was featured on the program "SuperShips", think she was 4th Supership. It also showed how her jet system works. It is most definately a recommended program to watch, very interesting. :)

She is a lovely ferry. And looks Superb!
I am hoping to get on her one Day Jack...

Hmmm, ferries I've seen are:
Chi-Cheemaun
And ferries in Toronto and New York City harbor (sorry, cannot provide a picture of the Toronto ferries).
-
Hmm whats the shortest length they can be in feet to be in your "ship" Category
A ship is any vessel capable of taking to the open water for extended periods. Therefore technically a racing yacht is a ship and a short sea crossing (such as Dover-Calais In the same environment) could possibly be argued as a boat.
But as this is Mr WM topic and he asked no o/t discussion,

Nope! Once again, there are several ferries larger than the "Ulysses"! But she is still impressiv for sure! :2thumbs:

The only sister ship is the "Stena Danica" - a real workhorse trading the same route from the very beginning until now which is quite unusual for such an old ferry.
-
The stern part of superstructure on the Ulysses looks weird with those "false walls"...

Oddly, she doesn't seem that big when you're aboard her, I don't think.
She is a nice ship though, I've been on her 3-4 times I'd say...But that was before I got my Digital camera unfortunately.
Jack.
-
If half of it is made of false walls, I'm not surprised it seems smaller than it looks.

You didn't have to post in both Fav Ferries topics, especially since the other one is like 3 months old.. and this one is like 6 months old...

It's my topic & I'm glad to see my "ferry game" is still going & you're not a judge here. ;)
-
Just saying, he could have just posted in one or the other instead of waking 2 topics to say the same thing :P
-
I see WM has included a rule to try and stop me posting a certain large car carrying hovercraft.
- Those have to be ship(s), that you seen by your own eyes. Not on images, videos, etc.
BUT... Tiger 12 came to Plymouth last year and did a few trials, and they kept her next to where I was on work experience at the time. So I've seen her with my own two eyes and that means I can post hovercraft-based eye candy.
It's a ferry which carries 10 passengers. The original intention was to run from the Barbican to Saltram Beach.

Favorite prom?
Stena Scanrail.
Why? Just do not laugh.
Comfortable berth, the best food between Denmark and Sweden, no tourists, peace and quiet. This requires a person who is at work and ferry business use.
We do not provide floating barn.
