It's possibly because Deutsche bahn bought out arriva trains in 2010? I'm not 100% sure though, as I'm not a trainspotter :P

Yeah, but this was a Deutsche Bahn cargo loco in DB red livery, aren't Arriva only passenger services?

OK, hoping some of you train spotters in the UK will be able to solve a mystery for me:

What on earth was a Deutsche Bahn loco (no idea what type) doing pulling a rake of Hanson Aggregates Hopper wagons through Gatwick Airport station on Monday?

Most probley a class 59 they do Stone trains around London

http://digitaltraction.co.uk/mainsite/

Bought myself the Class 40 and some coaches... then got the real train back to halls thus leaving my purchases far away...

Did see a Class 57 though

Some new pictures of the coming dining/baggage cars for the Baldwin DR-12-8 1500/2.

Everyone is excited about the fancy pullman-style interior.

Exterior of the dining car. Very sleek and elegant.

PRR baggage car. Love the riveting. These new cars will be epic with the K4.

And this Halloween be looking forward to the thrilling sequel to Trains Vs. Zombies: "Take a bite out of the Big Apple." RSC says that this time the zombies might walk out of the tunnel walls.

CPD?

But anyway i saw it

Heres my Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D53LYyMBrxo&feature=plcp

and i also saw Freightliner 66 with 2 Colas Rail 66's DIT Colas are rare round East Anglia they were working 6L37 Hoo Junction - Whitemoor (March)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChZVcb1wM5A&feature=plcp

I also had a bit of a long way of getting home,

I got a Cross Country from March - Cambridge (Calling at Ely)

Noticed i missed my ipswich train by 5 mins (1 every 2 hours)

so i hopped onto a norwich train (Also Calling at Ely) so i went back onto my self then at nowich i missed the London Train by 2 mins but i didnt mind Half an hour wait so i went back to manningtree and got the Harwich train home

Maths Question for you

I left march at 15:35

Got back to Harwich International Station at 19:20

How sick was i of trains?

My luck didnt carry on today...

Me and some mates went to watch Skyfall in Colchester on a train but on the way back our train gets into Manningtree at 17:58 and Harwich train leaves at 18:00 by the time we walked down the platform we had 1 min to get across to Platform 1 and the doors were shutting just as we were coming up the subway

I only have 2 more things planned for this week,

Monday : Manningtree to see a DRS Loco with a Greater Anglia Class 90 Woking Norwich - Crewe Via GEML and WCML
Thursday (With Adult Supervision) Didcot Parkway Via Class 90's, Tubes and HST's :D

They were showing jimmy bland film on a train in Colchester???

Aside from that, was it really as much ludicrous, excessive, over the top, all special effect (flying Underground, self propelling "JCB" low loader)/ no story line (Hi I'm jim, bang bang you're dead... now to find moneypenny for more of a bang bang")... the end- as it looks?

Just one long damned product placement advert. How much do they pay you to sit through all that rubbish?
