They're hulls for self propelled barges. These "barges" are common on the large inland rivers in Europe... especially in the Netherlands.

Not just The Netherlands, those river barges can sail all the way to Constanza near the Black Sea!

My grandfather had a smaller river barge and I don't think there is a canal or river on the European mainland where he didn't sailed  :P

What fred said is true - they do exist on his planet as well, although how they manage to float on the rivers of chocolate I'll never know.

Well, Chocolate is more dense then water, so for a cubic metre of water will be able to float a 1.025kg boat where a cubic meter of Chocolate can support a 1325kg boat - so Freds boats can be a bit heavier...

 ;D

Also, the boats themselves, on my planet at least, are made from bacon.

And of course, as we all know, bacon is unsinkable anyway.

 yeah... but then it is soft unless you overcook it, and it will become more smelly (although it doesn't smell bad) than a regular, metal ship.

unique design though...

That's not a good idea, the cookies will eventually dissolve.

But at least it's not as bad as my plan, a ship made completely out of cesium!

Meanwhile, trigonometry is fun! ;D

The launching of that ship would be the worlds shortest ever voyage. It would also create one of the worlds largest holes!

It would have to be built in a warehouse of course, because a single drop of rain would destroy everything.

Well, my boats are made from 459,648 Lbs of Fuel. Problem is, i need to build a cold warehouse because if it gets exposed to over 30 Degrees Celcius, it will explode or ignite on fire.

Might want to have a look at those figures Mr. naval architect! :p

The contrary for me: I cool my ship off with liquid hydrogen! Only thing colder is absolute zero. ;D

Wouldn't solid hydrogen be even colder than liquid hydrogen?   :P

It's off and on snow/drizzle today, but at least the lake was able to dissipate the snow storm in the midwest right now.
