Hi
When I start up the game, before I can get to the main menu, I have to enter a license key. I thought that was only supposed to happen the first time you open the game, but I have to enter it every time. Does everyone have to or is it just me?
Thanks, Aslas

Right mouse click on the SSE icon and selecting "Run as administrator" should fix the problem ;)

Ok. I'll try that.
Thanks, Aslas

I tried but it didn't work. Do you have any other suggestions?

Now I can't open the game. It crashes each time I try... :(

Game isn't crashing now but I still have to enter the license key

Strange, could you try running the unregister.exe?
It's located at your SSE installation folder.
-
Where is the installation folder? I couldn't find it in 'Downloads' nor in my Libraries>Documents>ShipSimExtremes Userdata?
Many Thanks, Aslas

The installation is where the game is installed, which is usually under program files>Vstep>shipsim... etc.
If you use steam, go to your steam directory >Steamapps>Common>Shipsim...
In case you don't know where you got it installed, do a rightclick on SSE's startup icon and select properties.
The target box shows the folder it is located in.

Laptop + desktop computer ?
You can install SSE only on ONE computer.

Hi,
Well I clicked on unregister.exe and nothing happened. So I launched the game and still had to enter the license code-the only new thing was that my profile had been deleted so I had to make it again-so it is lucky that I don't really do the missions, I spend my time on the game on multiplayer ;p
Have you got any other suggestions?
Thanks,
Aslas

Well if you click unregister, it's unregistered, so the first time you start again, you'd logically be asked for the key again I reckon.
But, what about the second time you started it? If you have. If not, check it out to see if it took the key this time.
Regards,
Fred
