It looks like your graphics card does not support Shader Model 2.0. Which card do you use? Are you sure it meets the minimum requirements?
-
My graphic card is a GeForce 4400.
Is this ok ?
-
not really, this card doesn't meet the minimun requirements for the game, the minimum, is a Geforece 5900.
-
ok, thank you for your quick answer.
Ill buy a new graphic card !
-

Should be fine, although the GS models are slightly cut-down versions, they perform well ;)

Heck yeah! I have a 7600GS, bought it for a temporary card until I get my SLI dx10 cards. Anyway this 7600GS has been running everything, even flight sim x. I have SS2008 maxed out in every last catagory, smooth as glass and looks great. Its a great card and its been more then temporary, I am not even in a rush to get my other cards.

i have a ATI radeon X300SE should that works?

When using some programmes on a below spec PC (a laptop=non changeable gfx card) they run quite nicely with the options and settings down low.
Is it likely to make any difference in 08? Don't really want to buy a new laptop for this- the desktop at home will run it fine though.

I'm curious, I assume you have the settings on FSX quite low then? If I approach anywhere near 'high' on some settings on FSX even my 7800GTX comes to a crawl.

im not sure what graphics card my computer has how would i find out?
-
if u had a mac, you wouldnt need to find out cause its too good that u woudnt need to. macs are for non nerds cause their simple to use yet awesome and even if, its still really easy to find info like specs. And u can always install windows on it which is wat i did and i sold my crappy PC. Do it, you wont regret it.

Once you install windows on mac (and also have an Intel core) then what's the point anymore? Macs are more expensive to buy, you can't upgrade the components and they're far more expensive to repair.
Not to mention, I like my dark blue PC case, I don't want a toothpaste white one.

u can upgrade the components cause i did actually and if u get the AppleCare plan, repairs are FREE
and true, they're expensive but u get what u pay for. They last at least twice as long as most PCs.

Click Start > Run > Type dxdiag in the box that appears, then press Enter. If a box pops up asking about WHQL, click Ok. The tabs at the top of the window give you different aspects of your system to examine, the 3rd one along is Display, click that and your graphics card is listed in the top-left corner ;)

If I may, there is a difference between the minimum spec that a developer will guarantee to work, and the minimum that WILL work.
As I broke a memory module on my laptop, I've found that it will still run ss06/fs04/msts perfectly well, et it is below the spec stated for each piece of software.
So what is the graphics demand for 08 compared to 06?
***The above is my own findings only. Please don't blame me if it doesn't work for you***
