Problem with (official) Ship Control Unit in SSE
« on: February 15, 2012, 16:37:40 »

I have recently bought SSE together with the Ship Control Unit by VRinsight:

http://www.shipsim.com/products/shipcontrolunit

is really well done
but now i have a problem with SSE
I calibrated as written in the instructions (i have Windows 7 32bit)
but during the simulation, the commands are not modular (rudder and throttle)
rudder and throttle, to the minimum input, move up to the maximum

Is without a driver, or CD intallation, or special settings in the game

I tried everything, but it does not work
so is useless

Is there anyone who has had the same problem?
Is there anyone who has it, and that works well?
I do not know what to feel  :'(

Hi!,

I have the ship control unit, and calibrating it is somewhat of a pain.

Have you calibrated it via your windows control panel?

Also have a look at this: http://80.95.161.114/shipsim/forum/index.php/topic,24738.msg344139.html#msg344139
It may help :)

I tried DX Tweak2, looks good
but the version 5.2.114 does not work well with Windows 7
requires the version 4.30.229
Download it here: http://www.avsimrus.com/f/misc-24/dx-tweak-2-v4-30-229-1506.html
is much better calibration of the standard calibration of Windows

But the game remains the same problem
As soon as you accelerate, the throttle in the game accelerates up to the maximum
equal to the rudder, the slightest movement, in the game rotate up to the maximum

The problem does not appear in the joystick, but in the game!  >:(

The potentiometers work well
but
in the game, the signal of the potentiometer
seems to be interpreted as the signal of a key from the keyboard

is precision steering on? With precision steering, the rudder/throttles will not go to maximum right away.

Not to sound cliched, but what a long, strange, trip it's been.
