I was wondering what you guys thought about the Steam Ferry Pack release time? Do you think it will be released at midnight or sometime throughout the day?

Let it be clear that Vstep has absolutely nothing to do with this. It's totally up to Steam for realising the Ferry pack.

It's stupid. Paradox would of told Steam to release it for today at the beginning of March, Steam then decides to delay it at last minute and they still can't manage to get 36MB uploaded onto a little page?
Steam need to sort their lives out.

Can shipsim extremes to take away your Steam folder, it would work without Steam and could buy the ferry from shipsim.com pack and download updates

What's the point of announcing it will be available on the 5th and then keeping everyone waiting? I've been checking since 7:00 this morning in the UK. 15 hours later and still waiting.
I bought my copy of Extremes from Amazon and there's no mention of Steam when you buy it. If I'd known I would have bought direct from VStep. :-(

Bought DVD expecting a 'normal' version, but ended up with this Steam ****
I am so so so hacked off being forced to use Steam for any other addons to this product.
I bought a Vstep game called Ship Simulator Extremes !
I have been sold a lesser product which restricts my ability to purchase further Extreme addons.
Although VStep might have little to do with this delay and Steams methods of distributing the software, they must have drawn up a contract or 'deal' to allow Steam to alter the software restricting it so much !!
I feel Vstep will suffer in the long run.
I will never buy any product again where this hoop jumping goes on.

Since they are in PST, there are about 9 more hours left in the day for them. They have released content at later times during the day in the past so it wouldn't be a surprise, but its surprising that they have not let any information out and have kept everyone waiting.

I don't think they would put the release out until it is actually for sale on the store. If it was shown as "released" then that would just confuse everyone if they couldn't purchase it.

The expected date was April 5..

They just released DLC for another game Cities in Motion a few minutes ago so they are still working and I find it highly unlikely that without a notice of it being delayed, Ferry Pack will be put out during the evening.

Also i tried the white marlin in dover, and guess what; the engines does not work :doh:
This steam version of sse is a big joke. Im sorry im soo negative, but here i have payed 15€ for this and nothing works. Im really considering buying the real "Boxed DVD" version from shipsim.com without steam.
It seams that many more people who ownes the real boxed without stem are more stable.
IM DEMANDING ASWERS FROM THE DEVELOPERS AND STEAM. (V-STEP PLEASE CONTACT STEAM!!!!!) We pay youre salaries :o

For the guys that are missing the Albatros IV on Steam; is this the only ship that appears to be missing?
If so, you can try to put the attached file in;
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\ship simulator extremes\Projects\ShipSimExtremes\Data\Entities\Ships\Coromuel\
(Overwrite the file that is there. This is the default directory btw)
And see if that does anything for you. We're investigating the problem, the Steam pack should be no different from the non-Steam one, I suspect something in the update goes wrong (as the Coromuel is being 'updated' for the ferry pack).

That works to get the ship but now when I press view 2 its all black inside and I also do not have any controls to work the door or nose.

But regarding these "flying" vessels and vessels where the engines doesent work proper, and vessels sailing on sea and all sudden get stucked; will we get some kind of uppdate that fixes these problems in the future?

You can't buy the Steam version of the Ferry DLC via shipsim.com, you have to buy it from the Steam Store.

But i have no ferry campaign and no ferry missions ???, is it cause the albatross is not installed right in the moment or should the campaign and missions work?

I would think that the campaign would be there no matter what. When I didn't have the albatross it still showed that I had the ferry campaign so that sounds like a different issue.

I have just re-bought Extremes for £12.24 Paradox version AND the ferry pack for £3.99 !!!!

Just over £16 for both.
A Ship Sim Extreme Steam free future ahead ! YEAH !
An additional pack or two in the future and I will be saving money having bought the sim twice !!!

We have just gotten word from STEAM that they have put the fix live, so this should go live worldwide (can take some time though depending where you are). Just log out from STEAM and close STEAM. Then restart and see if your Ferry Pack updates. If that is not the case, bear with us, it should happen later this evening when STEAM catches up. Once your ferry pack is auto updated, that should hopefully do the trick. Let us know...

Hi Taylor & agekiel,
The presence of a non-existent Player ship in a mission will prevent that mission from appearing in the game mission list.
However, that should not prevent campaigns from being listed—minus the missions with missing Player ships.
The problem with Albatross IV disappearing has also been seen in the version direct from VSTEP, so this is not strictly a STEAM problem.

Theres already no Albatross and no missions but i have the Ferry campaign now.

As I said in the part that you quoted: At least one user of the VSTEP version had Albatross IV disappear from his installation. I observed the same thing in the GM Beta.

Ryan ... I wish I could help. My Ferry pack is from shipsim.com as is all my other SS products. I am not familiar with the Steam versions. All I can say is that Vstep and Steam may work on this and hopefully the problem will be resolved at the earliest.

One thing that might play some part in the problem is that Albatross IV is still called Coromuel in some instances—at least in the GM Beta.
Her folder in Entities > Ships is “Coromuelâ€, and she appears as Coromuel in the Mission Editor list of Player ships.
Normally, this is not a problem—she appears in the free roam list as Albatross IV even though removing the Coromuel folder removes her.
Missions made with Coromuel as the player ship are accepted by the game.
Occasionally, though, something goes wrong. It is as if she loses her newly acquired bridge. Similarly, Bangalore is listed in the editor as a player ship, but lacks a functioning bridge—missions using her as a player ship can’t run.

Steam shows that I downloaded a 12MB update today for Ship Simulator Extremes but when I go in game the ship is still the same. Is this because of the file that I put in posted a few pages ago or is the problem still there?

it works, it works the Albatross arrived, everything is fine now :2thumbs:
I saw that one of the updates fixed the door problem of the red eagle.
Now it has a door panel an it works fine.

We do have the Albatross IV missions over here (Mission 03 and 04). Can anyone else confirm that the missions are not in the list?

Since loading the ferry DLC I have missing maps for San Fransisco and the Solent, whilst the new update has added the Albatross (thanks) it hasnt fixed my issue with the missing maps

Since they have already fixed the problem with Albatross IV in the Ferry Pack for Steam, I would say that it will be in the pack still when you purchase it at the end of April. Good luck!

Does anyone else have problems with the Solent, San Fransisco and Sydney areas since downloading the ferry pack. Not only have the maps dissapeared but also most of the land masses making the areas unplayable!
